Responsibilities

  • Affords assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
  • Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
  • Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
  • Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Often incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
  • Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
  • May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
  • May promote/provide staff education

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • Physician Assistant: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist: Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable). Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Pay

Salary Range $110,000-$149,000.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc.
