Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Teleneurology
About the role
The UCHealth Medical Group and the Teleneurology team are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their growing virtual health team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in full-time work, and focused on excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of clinical neurology experience required.
- Epic EMR is utilized system-wide.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility for Nurse Practitioners.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
- Eligible to provide services, reimbursable services, and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Qualifications
- Physician Assistant:
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- PA-C issued by the NCCPA
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit
- Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility
- Unrestricted medical staff membership
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nurse Practitioner:
- Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility
- Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the ANCC or AANPCB
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges
- Unrestricted medical staff membership
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
