Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Psychiatry and Psychology - Supplemental
About the role
The Minnesota Mayo Clinic Health System Division of Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking supplemental NPs or PAs to cover vacations, CME, and leave of absences for our inpatient NP/PA psychiatry team. The team works a 7 on/7 off schedule with a physician and NPPA always on-call for inpatient needs and emergency room consults. This NP/PA would assist with covering inpatient units in Albert Lea, MN and Mankato, MN.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should have strengths in pharmacological and nonpharmacological management of psychiatric conditions, patient interviewing/history taking, and strong communication skills for care coordination.
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP or ANP. Doctorate preferred. Strongly prefer PMHNP-BC.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Strongly prefer CAQ in psychiatry.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges. BLS certification required.
Additional Qualifications
- Required: 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider with at least 1 year in-patient Behavioral Health direct patient care.
