Responsibilities
- Spending 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Ensures day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model, collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
- Accountable for monitoring, understanding, and effecting key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes.
- Advanced Primary Care - chronic condition management, gaps in care, preventive health and age appropriate screenings, vaccinations, SDOH, wellness initiatives, clinic utilization and patient satisfaction.
- Occupational Medicine - timely return to work measures after an injury on the job, case duration, lost time, work duty status, reduction in work-related illnesses and improved functional capacity.
- Provides direct patient care through compilation of the medical history, conducting the physical exam, diagnosis, and the development of appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintains timely, accurate and detailed patient records and paperwork.
- Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Listens to and understands internal and external client needs.
- Aids in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
- Aids in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
- Provides excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related health field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program of an accredited university.
- Board Certification in Occupational Medicine preferred, but willing to train otherwise qualified candidates in this area of medicine.
- FMCSA NRCME certification required prior to start date, provided by Concentra.
- DEA certification required prior to start date.
