Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - (PRN, as needed)
About the role
The PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position is available in a corn processing facility's clinic in Cedar Rapids, IA. The clinic operates Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm and is not a full-time job. The role involves providing acute episodic care and collaborating with other medical and operational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence-Based Medicine standards
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices
- Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinical issues
- Support client’s wellness and preventative programs
- Document and manage information using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
- Patient education regarding medical conditions and treatment options
- Patient coaching regarding healthy behaviors
Requirements
- A valid unrestricted IA license
- Current DEA & BLS certifications
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR software
- A positive and outgoing personality, and be a collaborative team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with patients, clients, and colleagues
- Willingness to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service
- Comfortable working in an on-site clinic environment
Qualifications
- Experience in occupational health is a plus
- Previous work-site clinic experience is a plus
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of evidence-based medicine
- Computer proficiency with EMR software
Benefits
