About the role

Medical Director Services PC is looking to hire an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to service a skilled nursing facility in Cumming, GA. New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary care provider to long- and short-term residents.
  • Assesses patient health by visiting patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
  • Provides team-based care, collaborating with the medical attending/physician and nursing home staff to deliver the highest standard of care.
  • Builds relationships with residents and families, educating and formulating evidence-based care plans aligned with patients’ needs and desires.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.
  • Ensures a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, while aligning with the organization’s core values of respect, professionalism, and cultural awareness.
  • Reviews and ensures charting, documentation, and administration of care are up-to-date, timely, and efficient.

Requirements

  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Skills in health promotion and maintenance, thoroughness, clinical skills, patient education, medical teamwork, bedside manner, infection control, medication administration, pain management, and self-development.
  • Hospital setting experience is preferred but not required.

Extensive training will be offered.
