Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants must meet specific VHA eligibility requirements and submit an EDRP application within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention using evidence‑based practice.
• Develop and implement individualized plans to achieve optimal population health and disease management.
• Demonstrate leadership and collaborate with the Primary Care Team and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Order and interpret labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic interventions.
• Initiate referrals and consults to specialty services.
• Provide education to patients and their families.
• Assess and adjust the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Exemplify the ICARE core values: Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence.
• Exercise prescriptive authority for a panel of patients or program as indicated by the position.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary with regular salary increases and potential performance awards.

Work Schedule

Full‑time, 0800 – 1630.

Licensure

Must hold one full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory.
