Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Evaluate and interpret diagnostic test results.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications according to state law.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license/certification in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology, Internal Medicine, or another appropriate primary care specialty.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinical services preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, patient education, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
