About the role

Medical Director Services PC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve a skilled nursing facility in Cedar Grove, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary care provider to long- and short-term residents.
• Assess patient health through visits, physical examinations, and review of medical histories.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and nursing home staff in a team-based care model to deliver the highest standard of care.
• Build relationships with residents and families, educating and formulating evidence-based care plans aligned with patients’ needs and preferences.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, including staying updated on legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations, while aligning with the organization’s core values of respect, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
• Review and ensure accurate, timely charting, documentation, and administration of care.

Requirements

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Proficiency in health promotion and maintenance, clinical skills, patient education, medical teamwork, bedside manner, infection control, medication administration, pain management, and self-development.
• Two weekend days of availability per month preferred.
• Hospital setting experience will be considered.

Extensive training will be offered.

Pay
