About the role
The Elliot Health System in Manchester, New Hampshire, is seeking a Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join their level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-risk newborns through delivery room management, PIV, umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, and endotracheal intubations.
- Create, implement, and coordinate a plan of care for each high-risk newborn.
- Collaborate with the Neonatology team to provide comprehensive care, including family-centered care, developmental screening, nutritional counseling, LS, PT/OT/SLP, and regional neonatal transport services.
- Participate in subspecialty programs such as pediatric surgery, anesthesia, pulmonary, neurology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, nephrology, developmental-behavioral pediatrics, and an active high-risk Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) service.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the unit's participation in the Vermont Oxford Network and Team STEPPS.
Requirements
- Board certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Eligible for a New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner license.
- Eligible for a Federal DEA Certificate.
- Skilled in delivery room management, PIV, umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, and endotracheal intubations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New Hampshire.
