Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology EMG NE

About the role

The Elliot Health System in Manchester, New Hampshire, is seeking a Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join their level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-risk newborns through delivery room management, PIV, umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, and endotracheal intubations.
• Create, implement, and coordinate a plan of care for each high-risk newborn.
• Collaborate with the Neonatology team to provide comprehensive care, including family-centered care, developmental screening, nutritional counseling, LS, PT/OT/SLP, and regional neonatal transport services.
• Participate in subspecialty programs such as pediatric surgery, anesthesia, pulmonary, neurology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, nephrology, developmental-behavioral pediatrics, and an active high-risk Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) service.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the unit's participation in the Vermont Oxford Network and Team STEPPS.

Requirements

• Board certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Eligible for a New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner license.
• Eligible for a Federal DEA Certificate.
• Skilled in delivery room management, PIV, umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, and endotracheal intubations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New Hampshire.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
