Responsibilities

• Provides primary care as part of a healthcare team in an ambulatory setting.
• Provides patient education and counseling.
• Conducts patient health and physical assessments.
• Completes all training required by the institution and department by the deadlines identified.
• Enters data into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) meeting deadlines identified by the department.
• Attends departmental meetings, such as the monthly provider meeting, in addition to other meetings as assigned.
• Attends conferences to complete CEUs as needed.
• Travel to meetings in different locations.
• Participate in teaching programs and serve as a preceptor for teaching programs for students as identified by the department and supervisor.

Requirements

• Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate nursing specialty from an approved certification program as recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advance Practitioner.

Qualifications

• Holds a MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) and CNP (Certified Nurse Practitioner).
• Experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Experience in providing primary care in an ambulatory setting.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR).
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

4 Ten Hour Shifts & Occasional SAT 9 am - 1 pm

Minimum 95,000 Pay Grade, Maximum 105,000 Pay Grade
