Nurse Practitioner-Inpatient Stroke Program, Part-time, Nights, Sign-on Bonus Offered

About the role

The Advanced Practice Nurse will provide support and coverage to the stroke service at CDH's Comprehensive Stroke Center, working 12-hour shifts (7:00pm-7:00am) two times per week over a 7-day schedule, including weekend rotations.

Compensation

Compensation: USD 61 - USD 84.5 - hourly

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
• Current license as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Illinois
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APN Board
• Acute care certification required for APRNs (inpatient experience as an NP will be considered in lieu of acute care certification)
• Written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician
• May apply for a mid-level practitioner controlled substance license and DEA number
• Privileged and credentialed through the NMH Medical Staff Office (MSO)
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation recognition (healthcare provider level)
• Masters degree from an accredited school/college of nursing

• Guidelines for the Early Management of Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
• Guidelines for the Management of Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage
• Guidelines for the Management of Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
