About the role
The Advanced Practice Nurse will provide support and coverage to the stroke service at CDH's Comprehensive Stroke Center, working 12-hour shifts (7:00pm-7:00am) two times per week over a 7-day schedule, including weekend rotations.
Compensation
Compensation: USD 61 - USD 84.5 - hourly
Qualifications
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APN Board
- Acute care certification required for APRNs (inpatient experience as an NP will be considered in lieu of acute care certification)
- Written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician
- May apply for a mid-level practitioner controlled substance license and DEA number
- Privileged and credentialed through the NMH Medical Staff Office (MSO)
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation recognition (healthcare provider level)
- Masters degree from an accredited school/college of nursing

- Guidelines for the Management of Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage
- Guidelines for the Management of Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
