About the role

The Atlantic Health is seeking a Diabetes Nurse Practitioner to support Endocrine Services. The NP will provide specialized diabetes care to adult patients at both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive diabetes care to patients
  • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Educate and support patients in self-management of their conditions
  • Contribute to the growth and advancement of the Endocrine program through quality improvement initiatives
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited NP program
  • Master’s degree required
  • Certified Diabetes Counselor Education Specialist (CDCES), or ability to obtain a certification within 1 year of hire
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • PREFERRED: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in acute care and/or physician practice setting with diabetes patients
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
