Nurse Practitioner - Clinic
About the role
Provide advanced clinical care as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in collaboration with physicians.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients within the scope of Louisiana state regulations.
Practice guided by licensing boards, collaborative agreements, and national standards.
Deliver care in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient clinics, infusion centers, and emergency settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed health histories, physical exams, and documentation including progress notes, discharge summaries, and diagnostic interpretations.
- Initiate and manage both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
- Cook up care through patient rounds, interdisciplinary collaboration, and communication with families and providers.
- Lead and participate in committees, patient care projects, and community education efforts.
- Maintain clinical excellence through continuing education, research participation, and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance and quality through accurate record-keeping and billing documentation.
Requirements
Master’s degree from an accredited CRNP or PA program with current Louisiana licensure and national certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, etc.).
BLS and ACLS certified with EKG course completion within 12 months.
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and team-based care.
Interest in leadership, innovation in patient programs, and active organizational involvement.
