NP: Cardiology: Heart Failure | Transplant Services - Banner University Medical Center, Tucson Banner University Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide care for hospital-based patients with advanced heart failure, mechanical support and heart transplant. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic NP with experience and/or new grad with appropriate training to be part of an established Advanced Heart Failure Program. The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a dynamic environment and with facilitating change. Work Schedule: Full-time. M-F first shift coverage, with shared weekend call planned.Patient Volumes: 8-12 average daily Essential Functions and Required Qualifications:Current Board CertificationAcute Care Certification for NPsExperience with Heart Failure, Ventricular Assist Devices, and Transplant Services optimalExcellent communication skillsAbility to work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient careDetail-oriented; dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situationsCurrent Arizona Medical LicenseCurrent CPR, BLS, and ACLS.Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
