Nurse Practitioner - BH - PRN

Job Summary

- Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare needs through comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and treatment planning. - Rounding on established patients (20-22 patients a day) and comprehensive assessments on new admissions. - Prescribe medications, including controlled substances when appropriate, and collaborate with physicians and specialists for referrals and complex care needs. - Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and quality standards. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, monitor patient progress, and advocate for patient needs. - Respond to patient concerns, emergencies, and crises using established protocols while providing medical guidance in person and by telephone as needed. - Demonstrate leadership through mentoring staff, participating in team meetings and educational programs, maintaining clinical competency, and supporting a culture of teamwork, compliance, and patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

- Current Maryland Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Psych NP license required - Current Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) license or eligibility to obtain licensure. - Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
