Nurse Practitioner - Bariatrics & Medical Weight Loss - Memphis, TN

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing bariatric procedures.
• Evaluate patients for eligibility and suitability for bariatric surgery.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on long-term weight management and health improvement.
• Provide patient education on lifestyle changes, nutrition, and exercise programs.
• Assess and manage post-operative complications and ensure smooth transition to outpatient care.
• Participate in regular case conferences and contribute to the development of new protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Advanced Practice.
• Current license, certification, or registration to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
• Experience in bariatric care or related fields preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and surgical procedures relevant to bariatric care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
