Responsibilities
- Performing history and physicals, ordering labs and diagnostics, and managing treatment plans
- Counseling patients on medical issues, preventative care, and prescribed treatments
- Collaborating with nursing staff and security to promote safe, effective care delivery
- Monitoring patient conditions and participating in daily rounds and screenings
- Guiding and supporting nursing personnel and assisting in staff orientation when needed
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program
- Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in state of practice
- Active applicable Controlled Substance Registration/License/Certification in state of practice
- Active DEA license required
- Active CPR certification required
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently within your scope
- A collaborative mindset and a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to care
