Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult patients (18+ years).

• Perform patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment outcomes.
• Deliver preventive care, wellness counseling, and chronic disease management.
• Perform women's health services, including Pap smears (preferred).
• Conduct telehealth follow-up visits as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Education, Licensure, And Experience

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active and unrestricted Virginia Nurse Practitioner License required.
• National Certification (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent).
• Autonomous Practice License in Virginia preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient primary care experience preferred; experienced candidates strongly preferred.
• Experience managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and metabolic disorders.
• Experience or interest in telehealth.
• Women's health experience, including Pap smears, preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
