Job Summary & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult patients (18+ years).
- Perform patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment outcomes.
- Deliver preventive care, wellness counseling, and chronic disease management.
- Perform women's health services, including Pap smears (preferred).
- Conduct telehealth follow-up visits as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Education, Licensure, And Experience
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active and unrestricted Virginia Nurse Practitioner License required.
- National Certification (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent).
- Autonomous Practice License in Virginia preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient primary care experience preferred; experienced candidates strongly preferred.
- Experience managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and metabolic disorders.
- Experience or interest in telehealth.
- Women's health experience, including Pap smears, preferred.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
