About the Role

HealthDrive is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to provide psychiatric medication-management services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities across the South Shore, MA area (Fairhaven & Middleborough). This is a part-time position requiring 2 days per week, offering an opportunity for $52k+ in earnings (prorated based on schedule).

HealthDrive delivers on-site behavioral health, primary care, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and audiology services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. The role involves a mobile model with daily travel to assigned facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric medication-management services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living, and long-term care facilities.
  • Monitor psychiatric medications for effectiveness, resident response, and side effects.
  • Inform residents of potential side effects of psychiatric medications.
  • Recommend initiation of psychiatric medications when appropriate.
  • Complete AIMS testing every three months for residents receiving antipsychotic medication.
  • Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications according to federal regulations.
  • Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff and develop behavior plans as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
  • State Professional Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Board Certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using email, the internet, and healthcare-related software.

Pay
