About the Role
HealthDrive is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to work part-time (1-2 days/week) in nursing facilities in the Worcester, MA area. This permanent position offers flexible schedules with no evening or weekend hours, full clinical autonomy, an established patient base, and comprehensive administrative support. The role provides 100% malpractice coverage and benefits available at full-time status.
HealthDrive delivers on-site behavioral health, primary care, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and audiology services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric medication-management services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
- Monitor psychiatric medications for effectiveness, resident response, and side effects.
- Inform residents of potential side effects of psychiatric medications.
- Recommend the initiation of any psychiatric medication deemed appropriate.
- Complete AIMS testing every three months on residents receiving antipsychotic medication.
- Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications according to federal regulations.
- Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff and develop behavior plans as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities is required as part of the mobile treatment model.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
- State Professional Nurse Practitioner license.
- Board Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using email, the internet, and learning other healthcare-related software.
Pay
Opportunity for $52,000+ annually for a part-time (2 days/week) provider, prorated based on schedule. Competitive pay with uncapped earning potential.
Schedule
Part-time, 1-2 days per week with no evening or weekend hours.
