Nurse Practitioner
About the role
We are seeking progressive and entrepreneurial Per Diem Nurse Practitioners with adult and pediatric experience to join our welcoming and diverse community of Northwell providers. Per Diem Providers must be willing to float around to the following centers for their scheduled shifts: Kingston, Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, & Fishkill.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in a variety of settings.
- Treat all ages (6 months and older).
- Perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts, splints, and administer medications and vaccines.
- Read EKGs and X-rays as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting treating all ages (6 months and older).
- Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.).
- Ability to read EKGs and X-rays.
Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
- Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam.
- Experience working in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
Skills

- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
