About the role

The Nurse Practitioner contributes to AIDS Healthcare Foundation by monitoring patients and preparing comprehensive patient care plans at one of our Wellness Centers. They conduct diagnostic tests, evaluate lab reports, provide information on reducing STI risks, and interpret healthcare conditions. Special attention is given to patient care, including treating patients promptly, serving as a medical resource, and offering counseling and guidance as needed. The Nurse Practitioner enhances AHF's reputation by being a team player, treating all patients with respect, and providing the highest level of care.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring patients and preparing comprehensive patient care plans
  • Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating lab reports
  • Providing information on reducing STI risks
  • Interpreting healthcare conditions
  • Treating patients promptly
  • Serving as a medical resource
  • Offering counseling and guidance as needed
  • Enhancing the reputation of AHF by being a team player
  • Treating all patients, including walk-ins, with respect and the highest level of care
  • Supporting AHF's mission of providing accessible, HIV/STI prevention, testing, and treatment services
  • Conducting patient assessments, providing treatment and presumptive treatment for STIs, initiating and managing PrEP and PEP, and reviewing laboratory results for all clients, both new and returning
  • Maintaining continuity of services and reducing wait times

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of [State]
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS care and STI management
  • Knowledge of PrEP and PEP protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
