Nurse Practitioner - Adult Primary Care Practice
About the role
Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM), Section of Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center (BMC) is hiring Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join their growing team. The position involves providing primary care, focusing on sick visits and urgent care needs. NPs are members of the faculty at BUCASM.
Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Adult Primary Care Practice of the Department of Medicine at Boston Medical Center as a Nurse Practitioner (NP). You will be a key member of a team-based, NCQA-certified patient-centered medical home aiming to improve patients' access to primary care for sick visits with additional daytime capacity and extended hours outside of regular business hours.
Job responsibilities
- Diagnosis and management of acute illness
- Perform sick visit examinations
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and examinations
Requirements
- Requiring 3-5 years of clinical experience, post-licensure
- License/Certification: MA NP license (Required)
- Experience in Primary Care and/or Urgent Care settings desired
Schedule
Full-time during regular business hours with 6 face-to-face clinic sessions/week, 2 admin sessions for collaboration with the team and panel management, and 2 admin sessions for follow-up of direct patient care.
