About the role

This position is for an Operating Room Float Nurse responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role involves promoting patient and family-centered care, educating patients on managing their illness, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The nurse develops and documents individualized care plans, collaborates with the healthcare team, and assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.

Responsibilities

• Circulates and scrubs across all OR pods, with experience in neuro, spine, and cardiac surgeries preferred.
• Participates in professional development and promotes a healing environment.
• Works in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree
• Active RN license
• No prior experience required (preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of OR experience)
