Nurse Navigator - Pediatrics - Neurosurgery

About the Role

We are seeking a Nurse Navigator for the Pediatric Neurosurgery clinic to provide comprehensive care coordination and support to pediatric and young adult patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Offer individualized navigation across the care continuum.
• Act as the primary liaison among patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Conduct nursing assessments and triage concerns.
• Facilitate referrals and collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, radiology, operating room teams, and ancillary services to manage complex cases.
• Support patient education, care transitions, and address psychosocial and logistical barriers to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Facilitate communication, coordinate follow-up, and assist with scheduling and care pathways.

Requirements

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in neurosurgery, pediatrics, or care coordination.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Specialty certification.
• MSN (Master of Science in Nursing).
• Nurse navigation training.
• Metric tracking skills.
