Nurse Navigator - Ambulatory - 40 HR Day Shift

About the role

The Nurse Navigator provides access to quality cancer care by offering expert oncology nursing practice in caregiving, coordination, consultation, education, and research. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assist patients throughout their care continuum—from abnormal findings and diagnosis to survivorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource in oncology care management.
• Guide patients on appointment scheduling.
• Address access barriers such as insurance and transportation.
• Answer clinical questions.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to improve outcomes for cancer patients and their families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's preferred).
• 5 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in oncology.
• 1 year of experience as an oncology nurse case manager or patient navigator (preferred).
• PA Registered Nurse License.
• Multi-State Compact RN License.
• Certification such as OCN (preferred).
