Nurse - Minimally Invasive PCU

About the role

This position is for a Clinical Nurse (RN) in a Minimally Invasive PCU/IMU unit, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, specialized environment. The unit cares for post-operative and intermediate care patients, including those recovering from bariatric surgery, hernia repairs, and other minimally invasive procedures, with an emphasis on patient safety, assessment, and education.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring patients frequently, developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Educating patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-treatment care
• Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and collaborating with the interprofessional team
• Using critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers

Qualifications

• Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN license, no prior experience required
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience
