Responsibilities
- Assess and treat students for injuries and illnesses, including communicable diseases like COVID-19 and flu.
- Administer daily medications and maintain accurate documentation in designated systems.
- Follow infection control protocols, including PPE use and sanitization.
- Communicate with faculty, parents, pharmacy, and physicians regarding student health, medication compliance, and updates.
- Manage medication inventory, proper disposal of expired medications, and oversee controlled substance records.
- Maintain the health center's cleanliness, equipment, and supplies.
- Adhere to nursing protocols, review policies annually, and participate in staff meetings.
- Ensure licensure and certifications are current.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years nursing experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with medical professionals and school community.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts.
- Proximity within 30 minutes of the school.
