Responsibilities

• Collaborate with TSS leadership to ensure high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and recovery-oriented nursing care within a safe residential setting.
• Supervise nursing staff, providing clinical guidance, support, performance feedback, and oversight that promotes safe, effective, and compliant care.
• Oversee the assessment, coordination, and follow-up of medical, psychiatric, and substance-use-related health needs for individuals receiving transitional support services.
• Carry out and oversee physician orders, medication administration, vital signs, health screenings, and other nursing interventions within the scope of practice.
• Support medication reconciliation, health education, discharge and transition planning, and continuity of care as individuals move between levels of treatment and community-based recovery supports.
• Coordinate with medical and psychiatric providers, pharmacies, referral programs, families and natural supports, recovery supports, community partners, and other BHN services.
• Provide clinical consultation for changes in health status, medication concerns, signs of withdrawal or recurrence of use, risk-management needs, and urgent situations, coordinating a higher level of care when appropriate.
• Ensure nursing assessments, progress notes, physician and medication orders, and other required documentation are clear, accurate, timely, and compliant with BHN, payer, BSAS, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 standards.
• Promote effective medication-management practices, staff competency, infection-control practices, quality improvement, and integration of behavioral and physical healthcare.
• Manage medical supplies and inventory, maintain nursing licensure, complete required training, and support essential program operations as needed.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
• At least one year of experience working with a behavioral health population required.
• Experience in substance-use treatment, residential services, transitional support services, recovery services, or a related setting preferred.
• Knowledge of substance-use and co-occurring mental health conditions, medications, health education, relapse-risk indicators, and appropriate nursing interventions required.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and coordinate medical and psychiatric needs and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary treatment and recovery teams.
• Ability to supervise and develop nursing staff while promoting accountability, sound clinical practice, teamwork, harm reduction, and person-centered care.
• Cultural responsiveness and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with complex or challenging needs.
• Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and technology skills.

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
