About the role

The Center at Cordera is seeking a Nurse Manager to join their team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
  • Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures that govern the nursing service department.
  • Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff are performing their tasks according to acceptable standards.
  • Monitor absenteeism and report problem areas to the Director.
  • Report medication errors to the Director.
  • Provide nursing care as necessary.
  • Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and ensure their needs are being met.
  • Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure proper administration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Nursing Degree (RN) from an accredited college or university.
  • At least two years of experience as a supervisor in a SNF setting, hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility, preferably as an ADON or DON.
  • Two years of leadership/management background.
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Pass a drug screening and background check.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
