About the role
The Center at Cordera is seeking a Nurse Manager to join their team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
- Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures that govern the nursing service department.
- Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff are performing their tasks according to acceptable standards.
- Monitor absenteeism and report problem areas to the Director.
- Report medication errors to the Director.
- Provide nursing care as necessary.
- Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and ensure their needs are being met.
- Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure proper administration.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Nursing Degree (RN) from an accredited college or university.
- At least two years of experience as a supervisor in a SNF setting, hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility, preferably as an ADON or DON.
- Two years of leadership/management background.
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Pass a drug screening and background check.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
