Nurse Manager (RN) – Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health - 2 East/ICU
About the role
The Nurse Manager plays a critical leadership role in fostering a culture of clinical excellence, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care, and supporting the professional development and competency of nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversight for both 2 East, a 17-bed general psychiatric unit, and the 5-bed adult psychiatric ICU.
- Staffing, personnel management, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care delivery.
- 24/7 accountability for unit operations.
- Collaboration and leadership in psychiatric care.
- Call rotation across leaders for off-hours and weekend coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
- RNC preferred.
- Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
- 2+ years of psychiatric nursing or comparable experience preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice and judgment.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
