Nurse Manager - Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department — Memorial Regional Medical Center
Job Summary
Absorbs 24-hour responsibility for supervising and coordinating administrative and operational activities in the assigned areas. Collaborates with ancillary and interdisciplinary teams to develop goals and objectives based on analysis of clinical data to improve patient outcomes and foster a culture of excellence. Ensures achievement of targeted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identified outcomes at the unit level.
Essential Functions
- Provides daily operational oversight, management, and clinical support to the health care team.
- Serves as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource.
- Maintains personal and professional growth and fosters an environment conducive to interdisciplinary team members contributing to optimal patient outcomes and professional development.
- Models core cultural and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and implement high reliability principles.

Education
Bachelor of Science Nursing (required); Masters of Science Nursing or Masters in Health Administration or related field (preferred).
Licensing & Certifications
- Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required).
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting).
- Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units: PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, National Board Certification Specialty, Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification (preferred).
Experience
- 3 years minimum experience as a professional nurse with demonstrated leadership capabilities (required).
- 1 year experience in appropriate specialty area (preferred).
- Prior management/supervisory experience (preferred).

Range
- Minimum: $48.86
- Maximum: $78.20
