Nurse Manager - Patient Safety

About the role

Nurse Manager responsible for the daily operations of the patient observation program, including Patient Safety Attendants (PSAs) and Virtual Patient Safety Attendants (VPSAs).

Responsibilities

• Oversee resource allocation to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
• Integrate clinical, human, and financial data to support decision-making.
• Optimize monitoring equipment and IT connectivity, establishing downtime procedures for patient safety.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN or equivalent required; Master's in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Minimum of five years recent nursing experience, with at least two years in a clinical hospital setting demonstrating leadership skills.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.

Key Duties

• Manage patient safety programs 24/7, advocating for efficient and quality care.
• Coordinate clinical and operational resources, ensuring IT systems support patient safety.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
