About the Role
Responsible for assisting the Chief Nursing Officer in the delivery of safe, quality, and cost-efficient care by ensuring competent staff members in the department. Ensures efficient utilization of available resources and meets productivity and/or financial goals. Meets customer service satisfaction goals. Works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians, and staff from other areas throughout the Hospital to enhance communication, share pertinent data, and improve processes across the continuum.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Nursing Officer in delivering safe, quality, and cost-efficient care.
- Ensure department staff are competent and adequately trained.
- Optimize resource utilization to meet productivity and financial goals.
- Achieve customer service satisfaction targets.
- Collaborate with administrative personnel, physicians, and staff to improve communication and processes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse license in the applicable state of practice.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications.
- Broad understanding of the patient care process and clinical expertise in the area of responsibility.
