Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery

About the role

Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care on the Labor and Delivery unit. Maintain 24-hour accountability for patient care quality and safety, and foster process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff recruitment, scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff development.
• Serve as a clinical resource.
• Ensure compliance with age-specific standards.
• Participate in performance improvement, financial management, and policy implementation.
• Maintain 24-hour accountability for patient care quality and safety.
• Foster process improvements.

Qualifications

• Current TX RN license or RN Compact State License.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, CPI/NVCI or SAMA certifications.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field required.
• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Prior management or leadership experience preferred.
• Ongoing education in fetal heart monitoring and other relevant courses required.
