Nurse Manager - Levine Cancer Supportive Oncology

About the role

The Nurse Manager oversees Cancer Survivorship, Integrative Oncology, and Senior Oncology programs at the Department of Supportive Oncology at Atrium Health Levine Cancer. They work alongside oncology teams to deliver coordinated care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, functional, nutritional, and survivorship needs of patients with cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Cancer Survivorship, Integrative Oncology, and Senior Oncology programs
  • Partner with physicians, APPs, therapists, and clinicians to ensure programs are effective, efficient, and aligned with guidelines
  • Serve as the department’s nursing advisor in collaboration with Oncology Palliative Medicine, Psycho-Oncology, and Cancer Rehabilitation specialties
  • Manage and delegate tasks effectively
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards reflective of evidence-based practice
  • Allocate resources to meet unit needs
  • Ensure budgetary oversight and maintain cost-effectiveness of the unit

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • BLS required per policy guidelines
  • Professional certification within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam

Qualifications

  • Education and experience in integrative medicine, lifestyle and wellness approaches, health coaching, and/or age-friendly care is preferred
  • Experience in oncology leadership is strongly preferred
  • Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies

Pay

$51.05 - $76.60 per hour

Schedule

Full time - Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
