Nurse Manager - Heart and Vascular Prep and Recovery
Under limited supervision, the Perioperative Manager collaborates with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes, and adaptive to change. About the Role
The Nurse Manager reports to the Director/Service Line Administrator and ensures the provision of departmental operations in collaboration with other health professionals. This role is responsible for the planning and comprehensive 24-hour operations of the department/unit.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical and financial operations of assigned perioperative areas.
- Manage personnel, including recruitment, retention, orientation, and ongoing evaluation using just culture principles.
- Ensure the delivery of highly reliable, quality patient care.
- Collaborate with health professionals in a respectful, accountable, and adaptive environment.
- Plan and manage comprehensive 24-hour department/unit operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and currently enrolled in a Master’s program from an accredited college/university.
- Minimum of five years of nursing work experience, including three years of nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience.
- Certification in specialty area preferred or completion within one year of eligibility.
- Current knowledge of procedures, techniques, equipment, technical advances, and regulatory standards in healthcare.
- Ability to implement sound business and human resource management principles.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Pay
This is a salaried position at pay grade Health-32.
