Nurse Manager – Cellular Therapeutics

The Cellular Therapeutics Unit is a specialized, rapidly growing oncology nursing area focused on advanced treatments using a patient's own cells or specially prepared cells, including bispecific therapies that target immune T-cells and cancer cells. As Nurse Manager, you will lead a team of highly skilled nurses providing complex clinical care throughout the treatment process—preparation, administration, and monitoring—while building meaningful relationships with patients and families. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of cellular therapy, partnering with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centered care in one of the fastest-growing areas of medicine.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
- Establish clinical direction, provide supervision, and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
- Supervise caregivers, promote professional development, and ensure adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
- Coordinate unit operations with other departments and develop/monitor budgets, approve purchases, and manage inventory.
- Analyze personnel structure, determine staffing needs, evaluate performance, and conduct selection/termination processes.
- Develop strategic plans and participate in clinical nursing research, supporting foundation research activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Three years of recent nursing clinical experience with at least one year of healthcare management experience.
- High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area managed.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and group process skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Two years of healthcare management experience.
Physical Requirements
- Full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Frequent data entry, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Corrective vision and hearing to normal range.
- Some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay
Annual salary range: $101,900.00 – $155,390.00. The actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental, vision, retirement contributions).
