Nurse Manager

About the role

The Nurse Manager of OB will be accountable for the development, implementation, evaluation and oversight of services provided by the Obstetrical Services at HealthAlliance. The Nurse Manager will serve as a leader in the coordination of interdisciplinary processes that facilitate and expedite patient care services to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader in the coordination of interdisciplinary processes that facilitate and expedite patient care services to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Work with physicians, director of maternity services, charge nurses and employees to continuously develop this service, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Foster an environment for patient and staff satisfaction, professional growth, development and participate in research opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years nursing experience.
• Training/License: Certification in clinical area required (NRP, EFM, BLS, ACLS).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse License.
• Other Experience: in managing interdisciplinary projects. Clinically competent. Ability to act as a role model/mentor.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain strong relations with physicians, staff, and administrators is essential.
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Good analytical skills.
