Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday

About the role

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and work alongside nurses to direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population. You will possess a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development, providing and overseeing patient care while implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment.
• Maintains approved standards of patient care, collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Communicates clinical issues, as they relate to service or program development, to the CNO.
• Promotes clinical development, competency, and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes.
• Evaluates performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel.
• Cooperates in interviewing prospective staff.
• Assures that all staff are accountable for documenting care provided, patient/family teaching, and discharge planning on patients to which they are assigned.
• Contributes to the smooth functioning of the unit by providing direction to staff, other departments, and families as needed.

Requirements

• Valid State RN License required.
• Three to five years of experience including supervisory experience required.
• BSN or enrollment in BSN program required.
• Certified BLS before hire date required.
• Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRN preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
