Nurse Manager

About the role

The Nurse Manager oversees the provision of health services to the people served by the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHS). They manage a team of LPN and nursing staff, providing clinical and administrative supervision. They take the lead on medical and nursing issues within the program, taking vital signs and filling physician orders. They also oversee the medication administration system and coordinate medical care.

Responsibilities

• Cook up medical care
• Contribute to comprehensive assessments including substance withdrawal use assessment tools such as Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS), Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA), and Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Benzodiazepines (CIWA B)

Requirements

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver’s License and regular access to a reliable vehicle

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse required. Must be in good standing with the Board of Registration of Nursing
• BSN preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 years working in a behavioral health setting
• Experience with addictions and Medication Assisted Treatment
• At least one year of supervisory/managerial experience preferred

Pay

$102,999.00/year

Schedule

40 hours per week - Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.; requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed based on program and operational needs
