About the Role
The Nursing Manager provides oversight and instructions for on-site nursing staff, ensuring all job responsibilities align with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare and comply with all policies and procedures, OSHA, HIPAA, local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between nursing team and Medical Director/Director of Psychiatry.
- Delegate shift-specific responsibilities to maximize efficiency and accuracy in provision of nursing care.
- Perform two to four (2-4) clinical shifts monthly and fill in for nurses who take vacation or call out, as well as stepping in to perform clinical duties if the team is short-staffed.
- Perform chart audits on a weekly basis and address any missing or erroneous documentation immediately.
- Review all medication error reports and internal incident reports related to medications.
- Complete all compliance-related nursing documentation and treatment plans when indicated that an RN may complete.
- Compile and distribute reports as required.
- Act as liaison with local pharmacies regarding any payment issues and communicate with admissions staff when issues arise.
- Perform phlebotomy when ordered by an MD and communicate with Quest regarding pickup.
- Uphold all policies and procedures of Newport Healthcare.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state in which you are applying (required).
- Minimum of two years of prior nursing experience (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience (preferred).
Pay
Pay range for this position is $104,000 - $139,000 based on licensure and experience.
