Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the care staff in delivering person-centered care
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and uphold Mary's Woods' quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best care for residents
- Participate in care conferences and stay informed about residents' medical diagnoses and conditions
- Foster positive relationships with employees, residents, visitors and regulatory bodies
- Responsible for resident assessments, including admission, change of condition, and quarterly
- Communicate on an ongoing basis with employees regarding performance expectations
- Promote the growth of staff through coaching and formal education in areas such as teamwork, decision-making, clinical skills, quality and safety
- Conduct investigations of incidents and follow up on incident reports and conducts root cause analysis if indicated
- Makes sure to monitor trends from incidents and incorporates into quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of Oregon
- Minimum of one year experience in an assisted living or community care setting preferred
- Minimum of two years of management experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification within three months of hire
