What The Nurse Manager Will Need

• Education: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Licensure: Current Michigan License, Current BCLS
• Training and Experience: Successful completion of nursing orientation, Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, Minimum 1 year of experience in the department, Minimum 1 year of experience in management

What The Nurse Manager Will Do

• Incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of St. Mary Mercy Hospital in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Demonstrates customer focused interpersonal skills in order to lead, interact and collaborate with hospital personnel, surgeons, anesthesia providers and customers.
• Works with the Director of Perioperative Services to develop and support service line and strategic plan initiatives for the Outpatient Surgery Center.
• Participates with the Medical Director of the Outpatient Surgery Center to identify and prioritize key initiatives and special projects.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize critical thinking; to identify and solve problems and implement solutions.
• Develops and implements effective ongoing communication process for optimal distribution of information within nursing service, among physicians and other health team members and hospital departments.
