Nurse Manager
About the role
The Nurse Manager at Freedom Behavioral’s West Monroe facility oversees all direct care nursing staff, ensuring safe staffing and patient care. Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff with clinical decisions, coordinating admissions, and participating in quality improvement processes.
Responsibilities
- Uphold standards of care set by regulatory and accrediting bodies
- Provide oversight and direction to nursing staff
- Ensure safe staffing and adherence to protocols
- Assist nursing staff with decision-making and clinical issues
- Provide direct patient care when necessary
- Act as nursing administrator on call
- Oversee nursing staff and coordinate their performance
- Monitor and analyze nursing data for the QAPI process
- Coordinate staffing with the Staffing Coordinator
- Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring and terminations
- Complete performance evaluations for nursing staff
- Facilitate admissions and document admission criteria
- Participate in Utilization and Treatment Team meetings
- Work with Intake and Service Development Departments
- Formulate policies, procedures, and forms affecting the nursing department
- Ensure survey readiness and quality standards of care
- Collaborate on facility projects and program development
- Participate in leadership team activities
Requirements
A minimum of an Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, with a Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. A current RN license in good standing with the State of Louisiana is also required.
Qualifications
