Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Nurse Manager Assistant at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- The Nurse Manager Assistant is responsible for the delivery of clinical services.
- Manages clinical and support staff.
- Responsible and accountable for daily operations to achieve best practice and organizational objectives.
- Develops, coordinates, integrates and oversees inter-disciplinary programs, monitors performance standards and existing practices and designs new systems to improve organizational performance and staff competence.
- Demonstrates leadership, provides staff development, ensures competence and collaborates with Medical Staff and Senior Management to deliver high quality, cost-effective care across the continuum.
- Delivers high quality, cost-effective care across the continuum.
- Ensures patient care is provided in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Administers administrative duties such as scheduling/ staffing and payroll.
- Leads all PI initiatives on nights including PU prevention using Service Provider Reports.
- Maintains monitoring performances on an ongoing basis for better clinical outcomes.
- Coaches and counsels as directed by the Nurse Manager and completes performance evaluation for night shift.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to your current specialty (within two years of hire).
- BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
- Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent. Exceptions may be made for internal candidates on a case by case basis (i.e. the candidate has a history of hospital administration education/experience).
- Prior clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
- MSN preferred
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
Compensation
Minimum rate of $126,464.00 Annually
