NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is a 306-bed medical center providing care to residents of eastern Long Island. The hospital facility is home to the Knapp Cardiac Care Center—an advanced heart disease diagnostic and treatment facility—as well as a modern ambulatory surgical pavilion with specialized services including women's imaging, a sleep laboratory, and bariatric surgery. Our Provisional Level 2 Trauma Center delivers comprehensive and specialized care for patients with traumatic injuries. The Stroke Center is designated by the New York State Department of Health as a Primary Stroke Center, with expert neurologists available 24/7. Additionally, NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk operates multiple outpatient sites, including a wound care center, a hemodialysis center, and various primary care and specialty offices.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership and management of a designated care area on a twenty-four-hour basis, consistent with the philosophy, goals, and mission of NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will assume responsibility and accountability for all facets of nursing practice and performance within the designated area, fostering an environment of excellence in patient/family service, staff growth and development, quality nursing care, and staff engagement and satisfaction.

- Participates in and fosters staff involvement in nursing research and evidence-based practice efforts.
- Ensures staff compliance with maintaining licenses, certifications, and mandated learnings.

Requirements
- Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Master’s degree in nursing required.
- At least three years of pertinent clinical practice.
- Certification in nursing leadership required upon eligibility.
- Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $102,610.24 – $164,535.29 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
