About the role
As an LPN/RN, you are essential to quality resident care. Duties include medication assistance/administration, nursing services, training / supervising staff, and all things related to resident well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living, ADLs, environmental orientation
- Auxiliary in medication assistance/administration, treatments, and other care
- Encourage self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
- Train staff and report to the director of nursing
- Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
- Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
- Review, update and communicate resident care documentation
- Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per RN scope of practice and state regulations
- Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
Requirements
- Current LPN or RN license in good standing
- Typical candidates have 1-year of providing supervision in healthcare
- New grads are encouraged to apply

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
