Responsibilities

• Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs), environmental orientation, medication assistance, treatments, and other care
• Encourage self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
• Train and supervise staff
• Report to the director of nursing
• Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
• Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
• Review, update, and communicate resident care documentation
• Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per RN scope of practice and state regulations
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents

Requirements

• A current LPN or RN license in good standing
• Typical candidates have 1-year of providing supervision in healthcare
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare supervision

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
